Discover the Freedom Fighters in You Family Tree with the AAHGS H-Town Chapter!

This is a free, public genealogy workshop designed for seniors, families, and anyone curious about their roots. This beginner-friendly session will introduce you to the powerful stories of African American freedom fighters—the everyday people in your own family history who shaped freedom, resilience, and progress.

 

What you’ll gain from this workshop:

  • Practical tips for preserving family stories, records, and photographs
  • A guided tour of the research tools and collections available at the Family History Research Center
  • Time to “Ask the Genealogist” and get help overcoming research roadblocks
