Black History Commemorations: Our Stories Will Continue To Be Told

About this event

Join us for our 2026 Black History Month Conference. Our theme is "Black History Commemorations: Our Stories Will Continue to Be Told."

View the program, read about the speakers, and register for this free conference here!

Come celebrate and learn at our in-person event dedicated to Black History Month. Our keynote speaker will be Chris Haley, Director of Research, Education, and Outreach and the Legacy of Slavery Program at the Maryland State Archives. Other sessions will discuss using DNA in genealogy research, using AI and full text search in FamilySearch, and cemetery preservation. We will also have a workshop for beginning genealogists. (The workshop is limited to 30 participants, so please use the ADD-ONS feature to register)

It's a great chance to connect, share stories, and explore powerful ideas with others passionate about genealogy and history. Don't miss out on inspiring talks and meaningful conversations. See you there!
