We are thrilled to announce that AAHGS National is participating in the 2025 Frederick Douglass Day celebration on February 14th, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Again this year, we invite all our members to join us in a day filled with community, creativity, and meaningful engagement!

We’ll gather virtually to celebrate the incredible legacy of Frederick Douglass with three dynamic activities:

Transcribing History: Dive into meaningful historical work as we collaborate to preserve and share key documents.

Cake Decorating Fun: Honor Douglass’s life with creativity (and frosting!) by baking and decorating cakes. It’s as delicious as it sounds!

Connect with others: Be part of a nationwide celebration honoring the legacy of Frederick Douglass.
This exciting event combines the joy of transcribing historical documents with the fun of cake baking and decorating because what’s better than celebrating history with a little sweetness? Over the years, Douglass Day has been a highlight for so many, and we are certain this year will be no different.
