BRIAN NILSSON is president of Brewton Kobbé Consulting LLC, providing expert advice and guidance on complex international trade control and risk management issues for individual and corporate clients. He retired from the U.S. State Department where he was the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Defense Trade Controls. He has been an avid genealogist for over 45 years. He has done on-site research in dozens of states and counties and has published a number of articles in genealogical publications, including in the Georgia Genealogical Society Quarterly.
