From the Conference Planning Committee
On behalf of the Conference Planning Committee, we would like to
invite you to the 30th Annual Conference of the Afro- American
Historical and Genealogical Society. The 2008 Annual Conference will be
held in Adelphi, Maryland.
The conference room rate is $119, and is good from November 3-11,
2008. You may make room reservations by visiting the AAHGS reservation

for the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society Annual
Conference.
The UMCC is accessible from I-95; Metro; AMTRAK; Thurgood
Marshall-Baltimore/Washington International Airport and
Reagan-Washington National Airport. The I-95 exit is approximately 1.2
miles from UMCC; Metro and AMTRAK are 1.5 miles away; BWI is
approximately 20 miles (with a commuter train and shuttle) and
Washington National is less than 30 miles but there is a Metro stop at
the airport.
